ExPat Query

Anyone out there know what "non-detergent soap" is in Germany? I want to wash a rather grimy down-filled jacket.
Comments:
you can get some stuff called Nikwax - probably in a shop that sells camping equipment because people use it for washing sleeping bags. However, I'd be very careful about washing anything down-filled because my experience has been that it can go a bit 'lumpy'. I'd be tempted to dryclean it.

I googled Feinwashmittel + Daunenjacke and got this:

You can find Feinwaschmittel next to the regular detergents and I've heard the tip with the tennis balls in the dryer before - keeps the down from going lumpy. Assuming you have a clothes dryer, that is.

I just asked DrH and he pulled out a Daunenwaschmittel which he bought at a big camping shop here.

So I guess I'm not adding anything new to the other commenters, but it makes me feel important to expound as if I have knowledge.

Thanks for the tips! Will try them out, and let you know the results!
It is actually a jacket belonging to my younger son, now residing in Minneapolis, and my girlfriend saw me wearing it and said it is too young for me. Humpf. I intended to wear it, notwithstanding. Humpf.
