Update
Just did a little internet research (don't you just LOVE Google??) and found out that, as I suspected, the new American Embassy in Frankfurt is actually a former Nazi hospital complex, commissioned and built by the Luftwaffe between 1937 and 1941.
I can't decide whether-- given the present state of affairs-- this is appropriate or inappropriate.

It`s a somewhat spooky building. Reminds you of casarms. And marching. But hospital? It`s gigantic.
