Will try them out, and let you know the results!
It is actually a jacket belonging to my younger son, now residing in Minneapolis, and my girlfriend saw me wearing it and said it is too young for me. Humpf. I intended to wear it, notwithstanding.

You can find Feinwaschmittel next to the regular detergents and I've heard the tip with the tennis balls in the dryer before - keeps the down from going lumpy. Assuming you have a clothes dryer, that is.christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991148606497381478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9435352.post-33440170606022345552008-02-14T19:11:00.000+01:002008-02-14T19:11:00.000+01:00you can get some stuff called Nikwax - probably in...you can get some stuff called Nikwax - probably in a shop that sells camping equipment because people use it for washing sleeping bags. However, I'd be very careful about washing anything down-filled because my experience has been that it can go a bit 'lumpy'. I'd be tempted to dryclean it.

http://www.outdoortrends.de/pflegen/hersteller/nikwax/?adword=Google/Nikwax/Global/Nikwax&secondary=onheidikrauthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18040401372609074094noreply@blogger.com
